The purpose of White Horse Firearms and Outdoor Education Center is to educate our fellow citizens in shooting sports and to provide a safe location to practice those sports. Classes are conducted, formal matches are held, and several ranges are maintained. We are a place to learn about shooting sports, practice for competition, compete, obtain training, sight-in, or just plain plink.
White Horse is a non-profit organization and the money for the operation of the range comes from donations, range badge fees, shooting match fees, and an occasional grant from the NRA.
Everyone associated with the range is a volunteer.
The use of the Public Range is being provided to you at no cost through an agreement with the WV Division of Natural Resources (DNR), the West Virginia State Rifle and Pistol Association, and the White Horse Firearms and Education Center, Inc. State Funding is not provided for the Public Range. Since the facility is maintained by volunteers, contributions to its maintenance and expansion are greatly appreciated.
Please consider becoming a member, or making a donation every time you visit the range. A contribution box is located on the Public Range, or you may send contributions to:
